Common questions

How does sync work?

Trellis syncs through the private iCloud database of your own Apple Account. Sign your iPhone, iPad, and Mac into the same Apple Account and your habits appear everywhere automatically — no Trellis account exists, and I never see your data.

A device isn't syncing.

Check Settings → your Apple Account → iCloud and make sure iCloud Drive is on for Trellis. Inside the app, Settings shows the current sync status and the most recent sync activity.

Can I back up or move my data?

Yes — Settings → Export creates a JSON backup of every habit and log. Import merges a backup into your existing data instead of overwriting it.

What does App Lock protect?

App Lock shields the app behind Face ID / Touch ID (with device-passcode fallback). It's on by default; you can adjust it, or the unlock grace period, in Settings → Privacy.
